FILM FOR OUR FUTURE International 2018-2022

Film For Our Future was an international network of film festivals and cultural organizations founded by Quindici19 to promote storytelling on global challenges and sustainable development through cinema. The initiative was based on the idea that film, as an immersive audiovisual language, can be a powerful tool to inform, inspire, and engage audiences on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Inspired by Marshall McLuhan’s famous insight that “the medium is the message,” the network aimed to use cinema as a space for reflection and dialogue on the future of our societies. The network brought together film festivals and cultural organizations sharing a common vision: supporting young filmmakers and amplifying stories that address social, environmental, and cultural challenges. By connecting festivals across different countries, Film For Our Future helped circulate films, ideas, and collaborations beyond national borders. Network members included: Watersprite Film Festival (United Kingdom) Lucca Film Festival (Italy) Arc Film Festival (Germany) Festival dei Diritti Umani (Italy) Sole Luna Doc Film Festival (Italy) Raindance Film Festival (United Kingdom) Sustainable Living Film Festival (Turkey) Religion Today Film Festival (Italy)
